SunIn, you can get it from Sally's. Or just be out in the sun should lighten it a litte.
Reply:Hi, I am a licensed hair stylist, and unfortunately - it will be VERY difficult for you to lighten your hair without professional help. Dark brown hair would lighten if you used the products you mentioned, or similar ones - including highlighting kits from the drugstore... however it would only lighten into a red stage. Natural products are not intended for lightening hair, and trust me --- 99% of the time you get odd results that are very hard (or even impossible) to fix. All hair lightens in phases, and dark hair has trouble lifting out of the red stage. When I say red stage... it's more orangey and brassy. The only way to get it out after that would be to dye over it.

You can go to a salon and get professional highlights, and they can use a high-lift color or bleach to achieve great results. Make sure and let them know if you are only wanting a little bit of lightness to make sure they don't overdo it. It would also help to pick a shade you'd like your hair to turn out in a swatch book -- it may be that they have to lighten it to a blonde and then tint over it with the color you choose.
Reply:I heard both lemon juice and rosemary tea works, but is bad for your hair. Try catching some sun. It'll brighten your hair by a million shades. LOL! Maybe 5-7shades.
Reply:go out in the sun alot or put some foils in your hair
Reply:if you want fast results you can use hair bleach NOT house bleach and just rinse you hair.. that should bring it down alot
Reply:I know pretty good thing for lightening hair.

Buy yourself a lot of camomille tea. Before you wash your hair, make a pot of tea and leave it to chill. When you are out of the shower pour the chilled tea overyour hair. Will be nice if you can go out on the sun and leave your hair to dry naturally.

After a month you will see that your hair is lighter and shinier.
Reply:Lemon juice and rosemary tea work, but they are not worth it because they are so bad for your hair. My suggestion is the sun! It brightens my hair by like a million shades! Another obvious alternative would be dying it, but if you do, make sure to buy another box of dye with your color hair, just in case you don't like the way it turned out!
Reply:NO. PEROXIDE WORK WELL IF YOU WANT AN BRIGHTER HAIR COLOR.
Reply:They have something called Sun-In you can find in the shampoo isle.
