Reply:You can buy them in most supermarkets - Asda, Tesco etc.

Who has been on the rosemary conley diet and what did u think of it ?

i think slimming world would be better not sure?

Who has been on the rosemary conley diet and what did u think of it ?
I follow her GI diet and it is great you have lots to eat and dont feel you are starving yourself or depriving yourself of goodies.

You can have a treat every day and also one glass of wine or beer.

I ordered her GI diet by post and for £39.00 I got everything I needed including one of her dvd to work out to with good music too. You get a peadomitor, tonning band, journal, diet books, dvd, lots of helpful booklets, £10 to join one of her clubs free in your area, tape measure , a quick start two week programme. It was worth every penny I paid she also has online club but have not joined that yet.

I have lots 20 inches all over and half a stone so far weight loss is slow as I have medical problems. I feel a lot healthier and fitter.
Reply:Eat only when hungry and that too not more than 3 times a day. Include uncooked fruits and uncooked vegetables as much as possible. Chew each morsel at least 32 times so that ur internal messaging of the body becomes functional and u get signals of hunger and fullness with the least possible delay.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u might not have even dreamt in a reasonable period of time and that too effortlessly.

U need not bother about special diets at all.
Reply:i thought it was brilliant and helped me lose a lot of weight and keep it off!!! The basic principle is eat anything as long as it has little or no fat in it .That automatically leaves out anything "bad"e.g. chocolate, cheese, biscuits etc.

i found i was never hungry and ate healthily,i also did the exercises in one of her videos (felt a bit stupid prancing around my lounge ) but it worked. good luck if you try it - i still follow it as best i can.

Did Rosemary Shrager have a cooking partner if so what was her name.?
No, she didnt.

I think you are thinking of "2 fat ladies" Clarissa Dickson-Wight and the other lady who died.
Reply:No, but I admit she does remind you of the 2 Fat Ladies, who were the late Jennifer Paterson and Clarissa Dickson Wright.
Reply:A one-time employee of Pierre Koffman at the internationally famous Tante Claire restaurant in London, Rosemary has also worked for French chef and Saturday Cooks regular Jean-Christophe Novelli,

Dying rosemary?

i've got a rosemary bush which has very suddenly suffered a lot of die back with many stems gone brown. Other stems seem fine and healthy? It's only a few years old. Any ideas what's caused this?

Dying rosemary?
Rosemary can just turn up it's toes for no reason whatsoever. If there is any live material left later in the season take a few cuttings and start afresh.
Reply:Rosemary shrubs are more delicate than they appear to be. They do not like very cold winters, very wet conditions or very windy positions.

Choose a position sheltered from the wind and soil that is well-drained. When subjected to strong winds, the woody stems are liable to split at or below soil level resulting in those affected stems dying off. I suggest the bush should have all-round support from the wind such as the green plastic covered wire border 'fencing', 2 feet high, available from B%26amp;W and similar retailers. Stake the bottom of the 'fencing' securely to the ground, or it may blow over with the force of high winds.

Prune out dying stems as ground level.

Nothing is certain however, and I find I have to replace my Rosemary every 2-3 years in any case, in my high and windy location. It does help if the bush(es) are trimmed each year to avoid them getting overlarge.

As suggested elsewhere, take a few cuttings every year and bring these on, to replace any plants that suffer damage.
Reply:Rosemary doesn't last forever. Perhaps this winter was just too cold? Why not take a few cuttings from the shoots that are healthy? It's very easy to grow your own. I have more than a dozen new rosemary plants from cuttings I took last year when I had to relocate my large plant- it didn't survive its transplant!
Reply:Something has attacked the root system, usually fungal or other disease.Throw it out and buy another, they cost £1.99 from B%26amp;Q

Are Fritzl and Rosemarie worse than Fred and Rosemary West.?

Fritzl locked up his children. Fred killed his.

Are Fritzl and Rosemarie worse than Fred and Rosemary West.?
as I said before to a lot of these posts. whats needed is tougher laws against the perpetrators apparently he only got 18 months for his first rape conviction. what u find happening in the majority of these cases is that the perpertrators had previous convictions for the same thing and were given a light slap on the wrist. i think the austrian authorities should hang their heads in shame. they allowed a rapist to adopt kids. they allowed him to have his criminal record removed after only five years. its a wonder he didn't find a job in a school. its like okay we'll give you 18 months so that next time you'll learn and do it so you won't get caught. and apparently now they saying that 15 years is enough for a perpertrator of sex crimes. its like if one rapes someone in austria at age 20, one gets out at maximum age 35 years or earlier to do it again. so they could have prevented this if they had jailed him properly the first time. and why wasn't DNA tests done on those kids if they had done DNA tests the first one just to check his story that it was his daughters kids, had his criminal record visible someone would have put two and two together. plus how did a known rapist get building permission to build a cellar like that????? this is a clear case yet again of authorities favouring the perpertrators and giving them opportunities to do the same thing over and over again. its clear austrian laws favour criminals instead of the victims. but this is true though of a lot of countries. in austria one can rape someone, get 18 months for it. have the bother of a criminal record removed after a measly five years, adopt kids of the same gender that you raped and build cellars. come on a known rapist building a cellar like that a getting permission for it. if someone told me a rapist was going to build a cellar like that i certainly wouldn't think he wanted to use it to store wine. I mean this country sounds like a paedophiles dream place. i mean if they get arrested the first time, they get a light sentence, so that they'll learn from their mistakes. yeah right the only thing they'll learn like in fritzl's case was how to do it so they won't get caught. and their records are removed this kills me. its like if you've abused a child you lose rights like the privacy of a criminal record
Reply:Rosemarie Fritzl is as guilty as she can be:

1. Who doesn't question why your husband buys food for 10 people if there is 5 of you

2. Who doesn't question why your husband wheels half of the food every day to the forbidden basement

3. Who doesn't question your husband has a secret collar you are not allowed to (especially given the above reasons)

4. Who doesn't question why your grandchildren keep appearing on your doorstep

5. Who doesn't question why the grandchildren are so pale (they had to be as they did spend many months downstairs before being brought upstairs)

I say, do some serious investigation into her actions as well.
Reply:Rosemarie did not know what he was doing in the basement. Rose participated in Fred's depravity. There is a huge difference even in the crimes commited. No they are not the same and can not be compared to one another.

One's a pedophile... the others were sick, twisted individuals who murdered their own children even.
Reply:Yes, because although she was a mass murderer, Rosie West did at least have an active social life, and was an entertaining hostess. Some of her soirees were attended by people of standing within the community, such as (so it is said) various policemen.
Reply:not really, fritzl loved his daughters too.
Reply:Clearly that “person” (and one has to stretch the

definition of the word “person” in order to apply

it to that creature) was the DEVIL-INCARNATE

AND he should burn in h*ll for all of eternity.

In addition, it also needs to be stated that no person

on earth should allow themselves be fooled for

even one moment by the lies of “I didn’t know”

that are currently being claimed by that lying

and equally evil wife of this evil DEVIL!!!

That vile, evil, perverted, disgusting, devil

b**tch of a wife of that MONSTER KNEW!!

SHE KNEW!!! SHE KNEW!!! SHE KNEW!!!

She KNEW the whole time (or at least had

literally no excuse whatsoever to have not

at least ‘suspected’ something was amiss!!!)

She is a LIAR and she must think the entire world is

as perverted as both she and her husband are and

that by coming up with that ridiculous and flimsy

excuse that she can then convince the rest of

the world to then respond to her own complicity

the same way she chose to respond to that of

her husband’s evil -- by 'turning a blind eye'.

BOTH of them are utter DEVILS and one

cannot help but to hope that they both burn

in h*ll for all of eternity for their evil acts!!!!

She expects anyone on this planet who has even

half-a-brain-stem to believe for even one fraction

of a moment that she didn't know anything at all?!?!

Give me a break!!!

For crying out loud--unless this woman is Helen

Keller --she has NO EXCUSE at all to not have

known (or at least ’suspected’) something strange

and conspiratorial was going on regarding her

daughter’s whereabouts and situation and that the

husband’s stories were just far too incredulous

and absolutely made no sense in the least bit!!!

After all -- think about it -- daughter runs away as a

very young teen; daughter mysteriously disappears

at the age of 18 (an age when she can both make

her own decisions and choose to get away from

her father and bring charges against him); the

(convicted-rapist/arsonist) father gets a letter from

daughter 1 month after her disappearance which

ridiculously claims she has joined a cult and

does not want any contact with the family – yet

amazingly later chooses (for 3 years in a row)

to simply leave 3 of her newborn babies on the

doorstep of very home that she tried to run away

from at least 2 X's before and is "allegedly thought"

to have finally left in order to join some sort of

“phantom” cult (a "cult" which, unlike every other

cult, just somehow, seemingly has no desire to try

to indoctrinate the youth from birth, but rather it

simply allows it's members to select a home --one

which in fact, is both not a part of the cult AND is

the very home from which the member ran in order

to join the cult ---to raise their babies and kids of

the cult members) --ALL THE WHILE – the father

forbids ANYONE to ever for ANY REASON to

go ANYWHERE NEAR the mysterious basement

(which he always keeps locked, disappears to for

hours and days on end; has ‘unseen’ bathroom

equipment installed; and has a cement-barricaded

door installed which both has a security-code and

which was so complicated it needed inspection

by local government authorities in order to install).

Just 2 years before the “discovery” of what this

monster (and his devil wife via her complicity of

silence) did to their poor child – another young girl,

and former kidnap victim, was also found in Austria.

It was discovered that the other young kidnap /

rape victim had disappeared 8 years earlier and

had been held in a basement / dungeon where

she had been repeatedly raped the entire time

by the individual who had kidnapped her.

Now ---- even if the public was expected to

simply throw all common sense to the wind

and accept this monster’s devil-wife’s excuse

that she “didn’t know”, say, in the beginning …

it still stands to reason that after hearing about

the case of the other young girl 2 years earlier

----- this creep’s equally creepy wife would

have said something to herself like, say …

”””Hmmm … a young girl who disappeared 8 years

ago, out of no where, has been discovered

to have been held in a basement the entire

time and while there she was repeatedly

raped by the person who trapped her there.

Hmmm … my daughter, who repeatedly tried

to run away from my convicted-rapist husband

as a child has also mysteriously disappeared

– and – my convicted-rapist husband is

always coming across both ‘letters’ and

‘grandchildren’ that were allegedly left

by my daughter (who has vanished

without a trace) -- and – meanwhile

my convicted-rapist husband also

has a mysterious basement that he

keeps under lock and key and never

allows anyone to come near -- ever.

Hmmm … now I can not help but to wonder

if that convicted-rapist husband I married

just may have had something to do with

the disappearance of our daughter – and

-- the appearance of all these grandkids

and letters – and I also can’t help but to

wonder if that mystery-basement room

of his would, in some way in any way,

be connected somehow to our child’s

disappearance and / or the mysterious

appearance of all of these grandchildren.”””

Yes – one would think that – even if this woman

could have claimed ‘ignorance’ earlier – (a lie

which, again, no one with any common sense

should ever consider guying into) – once the

discovery was made of a similar situation 2

years earlier – she then had NO excuse to not

have at least been suspicious of something

about her convicted-rapist husband and his

ever-so-mysterious hidden basement room.

That vicious devil simply did not care at all about

her own daughter – or -- she simply cared more

about her own creature-comforts and keeping up

with her middle-class appearances than she did

about the torture being done to her own child.

THAT POOR GIRL’S VILE, DISGUSTING

PERVERTED LYING B*TCH OF A MOTHER

KNEW FULL WELL WHAT WAS GOING ON

-- SHE KNEW-- SHE KNEW-- SHE KNEW!!!

THAT WIFE IS A B*TCH, A DEVIL AND A

VILE PERVERT AND ONE CANNOT HELP

BUT TO TRULY HOPE THAT--- SINCE SHE

OBVIOUSLY FELT SOME STRANGE NEED

TO BE SO VERY LOYAL TO THAT DEVIL,

OF A PERVERTED CONVICTED-RAPIST

AND ARSONIST FREAK OF A HUSBAND

OF HERS AND TO CHOOSE TO STAND BY

HIS SIDE FOR A QUARTER OF A CENTURY

ALL THE WHILE THAT HE IMPRISONED

AND ALSO SEXUALLY AND PHYSICALLY

AND MENTALLY TORTURED THEIR

CHILD --- SHE WILL REMAINS BY

HIS SIDE AS THEY BOTH BURN

IN H*LL FOR ALL OF ETERNITY!!

She is clearly as much of a

pervert and devil as is he!!

What kind of a woman, after all, chooses to marry

a man who had already committed and also been

convicted of previously raping another woman

and had no remorse about any of it whatsoever.

SHE KNEW!!! SHE KNEW!!! SHE KNEW!!!

Bravo cantina italiana rosemary bread recipe?

1 (1 tbsp.) pkg. active dry yeast

1 tbsp. sugar

1/2 c. warm (105 to 115 degree) water, divided

1/3 c. instant nonfat dry milk

1/2 tsp. salt

1 tsp. fresh or dried rosemary leaves

2 3/4 c. unbleached all-purpose or bread flour

1/4 c. olive oil

2 eggs

1/2 c. dark raisins (optional)

In measuring cup, sprinkle yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar over 1/4 cup warm water. Stir to dissolve, let stand foamy, about 10 minutes.

Measure dry milk, salt, rosemary and flour into processor bowl. Mix. Add yeast mixture, olive oil and eggs to flour mixture. Process until blended, about 10 seconds. Turn on processor and slowly drizzle just enough water through the feed tube so that dough forms a ball that cleans the side of the bowl. Process until bowl circles about 25 times. Turn off processor and let rest 2 minutes.

Turn on processor and drizzle in a bit more water to soften dough, producing a smooth but not sticky ball. Process dough ball until it circles around 15 times. Shape into a round loaf and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with olive oil. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let stand in a warm area until doubled, about an hour.

Slash top decoratively with an X and bake in oven at 350 degrees until brown, about 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from baking sheet to cool on a rack.

What goes with parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme?

Do you know the before and after? And what does it all mean?

What goes with parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme?
Are you going to Scarborough Fair?

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme

Remember me to the one who lives there

She once was a true love of mine

A song by Simon and Garfunkel, heard in the movie, "The Graduate," which starred Dustin Hoffman, Anne Bancroft, and Katherine Ross.
Reply:POTROAST!

"are you going to scarborough fair, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme, remember me to the one who lives there, for she once was a true love of mine."

scarborough faire is the actual name of the song. Google or blingo it for extended lyrics and origins.P.S simon and garfunkle only covered it. It is an olde english folk song that dates back several centuries
Reply:If you are going to Scarbourgh Fair,

Remember me to one who lives there.

In the giver who is Rosemary?

it says something about it being the givers daughter but its really confusing

In the giver who is Rosemary?
Rosemary was the daughter of the giver. She was supposed to be the next giver but when she found out the secrets of this utopian society she refused to be a part of it and was "released." she also decided that she wanted to be the one to "release" herself by enjecting the needle in her own vein. In essence she kills herself.

Hope I was able to help.
Reply:the giver's daughter who was next in line to be the receiver who couldn't take it anymore when they got to the bad memories and released herself. all the bad memories went out into the open for all the people to have.
Reply:She represents how fragile the society is. When she got euthanasized, her memories went floating around the town and random people absorbed them. It was a disaster for the controlled environment, because all these people who were not prepared for painful experiences suddenly had intensely painful memories that they couldn't stop feeling.
Reply:My friends and I think that perhaps she really was his daughter and that he donates his sperm to the birthmothers and whoever gets his sperm gives birth to the next Giver. It never really specifies if she really was her real biological daughter or not but that is what we think could have happened. That would explain why both the Giver and Jonas have light eyes, because perhaps Giver is Jonas's biological father. Or she just could have been assigned to him. It's really open ended so you can really think whatever you want.
Reply:Rosemary is the Givers daughter, not his biological daughter but his adopted daughter since all the kids in the utopia are adopted. The giver wanted her to be the reciever and gave her fragments of memories, but then Rosemary got sensitive about them and wanted to be exiled from the utopia.

Our dog has a bit of a thing for our Rosemary plant?!?

Is there something about Rosemary bushes that dogs really like?

Our dog is always running over to it and (while wagging her tail furiously) snuffles around the bush like it's her best friend.

I suspected it may have been a lizard or something like that, but after close and careful investigation, there is nothing there..other than the Rosemary bush.

So anyone have any idea what might be the cause?

Thanks

Our dog has a bit of a thing for our Rosemary plant?!?
could like the smell or look of it.
Reply:well maybe she lyks the smell and the fragrence, maybe it helps her relax
Reply:It's not the scent of the Rosmary plant your dog is after, it's the oil in the plant. When she rubs her face into the plant she is rubbing the oil from the plant off onto her face. Beleive it or not, she is simply "washing her face" in the plant.

Lamb Chops - Mint and Rosemary?

Perfect combination?

Does any one have a good te4chnique for cooking this?

Lamb Chops - Mint and Rosemary?
Lightly fry off some garlic, rosemary and some red onion. Chuck in the chops but only cook them until they are still pink in the middle. Serve with new potatoes and a green salad. Yum.

Serves: 4 servings

Ingredients:

INGREDIENTS FOR LAMB CHOPS

* 1/2 c Balsamic vinegar

* 3 tb Olive oil

* 4 Cloves garlic; coarsely

* -chopped

* 6 Sprigs fresh thyme

* 8 Baby lamb chops

Instructions:

INGREDIENTS FOR TOMATO MINT

1 tb Olive oil

1 sm Red onion

2 Cloves garlic; finely

-chopped

2 Red tomatoes; coarsely

-chopped

2 Yellow tomatoes; coarsely

-chopped

2 tb Lime juice

1/4 c Fresh mint; coarsely chopped

Salt and freshly ground

-pepper; to taste

INGREDIENTS FOR ROSEMARY POT

5 lg Baking potatoes; peeled and

-cut into

; 1/2 in. cubes

3 tb Olive oil

3 Cloves garlic; finely

-chopped

2 tb Fresh rosemary; coarsely

-chopped

Salt and freshly ground

-pepper; to taste

How to Prepare the Lamb Chops:

1. Combine the vinegar, oil, garlic in a medium shallow baking dish.

2. Add the lamb chops and turn to coat both sides. Add the thyme, cover and

marinate at least 1 hour and up to 8 hours.

3. Heat the grill pan and grill 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until done

to your liking.

How to Prepare the Tomato Mint Relish:

1. Heat the olive oil in medium saut‚ pan over medium heat. Add the onion

and garlic, and cook until translucent.

2. Add the tomatoes and lime juice, and cook until just warmed through.

3. Add the fresh mint and season to taste with salt and pepper.

4. Spoon over the chops.

How to Prepare the Rosemary Potatoes:

1. Preheat the oven to 357 degrees F.

2. Toss the potatoes in a medium baking dish with the olive oil, garlic,

rosemary, and salt and pepper to taste.

3. Bake in the oven, uncovered, for 30-35 minutes, shaking the dish

occasionally, or until tender.
Reply:pan grill on a hot pan, a few flips and not so long cook time. dash in some salt. herbs and spice at the end of cooking before serving
Reply:just salt and pepper with garlic, chilli and lime juice is a great combination!

you can then add:

garam masala to make it Indian

tequila to make it Mexican

five spice to make it Chinese

tomatoes and basil to make it Italian

or you can leave it as the original,

With all meat, it tastes best when marinaded, make slits into the meat and rub your marinade into it and leave in fridge all night!

To cook it (if you're not using a BBQ), works best on a griddle pan! i love mine! just sort of place the meat on one side, then flip over after about 4-5 and repeat until the meat is ready! If at anytime, its sticking, just add a bit of water! and if you like the flavours extra intense, baste it as you turn!

Even just rosemary and mint would be great!

Be adventurous and have fun!
Reply:I like rosemary on the chops when grilling, and mint sauce on the side. You can mix your herbs with some butter and garlic and spread it on the chops before grilling slowly.
Reply:i would suggest braising the chops on a hot griddle, and leaving to rest while you make a breadcrumb crust using wholemeal bread rosemary, mint seasoning and 1 egg white to hold it together. pre heat your oven to about 160 deg c smoother the chops with the crust and back until lamb is cooked through. Its a little difernt but really brings out the flavours- if you find the two herbs too much in the crust, the rosemary is delicious on roast potatoes! happy eating x
Reply:Yeah! First put sprigs of rosemary on the grill pan, then brush your chops with mint jelly. Grill to your liking, and serve with rosemary mash and mint sauce. You make the mash by cooking the pots with a good sprig of rosemary. Enjoy!
Reply:MINT ON EVERY THING
Reply:chop up your mint and add to your rosemary add this to a tablespoon of olive oil and a little rock salt and rub the mixture on the lamb, grill the chops and the excess oil/fat will drain away leaving you with the seasoned chop, we do ours on the george foreman grill.

I got a rosemary bush in the backyard can I make rosemary stuff for my skin??

Hot water???

I got a rosemary bush in the backyard can I make rosemary stuff for my skin??
As long as you don't use chemicals to grow it it will be fine. Also always rise any outdoor plant with a solution of baking soda and water (1Tablespoon per 2 quarts water) to remove pollutants.

Here are a two recipes - I am sure you can find more:

Facial Tone and Refresh Spray

The Ingredients

3 1/2 cups witch hazel

1/2 cup dried rose petals

5 sprigs of fresh rosemary

Mix ingredients together making sure it is all blended well. Strain. Splash on your face after cleaning skin.

Lavender Rosemary Soap:

2 lbs clear melt %26amp; pour base

Lemon essential oil

Lime essential oil

4 tsp dried rosemary leaves

Instructions:

Melt the soap base over a double boiler and gently stir in the rosemary leaves. Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly. Add 1/4 oz of each essential oil and stir. Most of the rosemary will float, but the finer particles of rosemary will sink, leaving a nice speckled effect.

**************************************...

To dry rosemary - rinse completely and tie twine around the bottom of the bunch (10-20 stalks) and hang upside down in a clean dry area like a closet or bedroom - the kitchen will leave a layer of cooking stuff and the bathroom is too damp. Good Luck!

Rosemary drying?

I bought a rosemary plant 2 months ago. It's good for a few days but now some of its leaves are drying out.what to do?

Rosemary drying?
Make sure its getting enough water. I've had my rosemary plant for three years now and its huge. I recently moved it from its orginal spot and it started drying out, but then gave it plenty of water. It came back strong.
Reply:well it could be growing out a little big but put it in shade and water it in the morining afternoon and night that should work

Ok....I am in need of a personal loan but there is a lof of cons. Is rosemary_loan_agency a legit company?

I need a personal loan of $2,500 - $5,000 but so far all I have heard from are scammers. How do I know if they are legit. Has anyone heard about rosemary_loan_agency? They are out of Africa and require a money transfer.

Ok....I am in need of a personal loan but there is a lof of cons. Is rosemary_loan_agency a legit company?
OK -- out of Africa -- requires money transfer

You said you don't want scams. The items above are STRONG SIGNS that whatever this rosemary creature is is a scammer.

For one, why Africa? I hope you've heard of Nigerian scams and all these scams coming from Africa

Then why will you need to pay to get a loan? That's a sure sign of scam

Go to Prosper.com http://www.prosper.com if you want to beg strangers for money - you stand a lesser chance of getting scammed than entertaining folks from Africa who wants a money transfer
Reply:Are you really serious?

You must be crazy to even consider getting a "loan" from some outfit in Africa.

Personal loans exist to capitalize on perennial bad decision makers. Do yourself a favor and forget about borrowing the money. If you need it to pay bills, make arrangements with your creditors. If you need it for a car, then buy a cheap one with CASH. Remember that you are in this position because you have been irresponsible with your credit. If you take this loan you only continue the cycle.
Reply:If you need a loan, go to your local credit union. They will offer you fast friendly service and advise.
Reply:This is legit.
Reply:no matter how desperate you are...DO NOT DO IT!! it is a scam. You send the money and never get your loan....OMG...over half the people who answered your question ARE SCAMMERS too!!!! Don't DO IT!!! James Isley...John D....Mike d....Marian O....Bichie B aka Mr. Richie Banks- LOL!!!!! senaterO....DONT DO IT!!!!
Reply:If they are out of country, my bet would be they are scammers. Why don't you check out your local banks and credit unions? If you don't qualify, maybe get a 2nd job and earn the money you need.
Reply:Stay away from private individuals , and go to your bank
Reply:Sounds like a scam to me.
Reply:if you have to send money to get a lone it is a RIP OFF Scam DONT DO IT
Reply:they are scammers hon. i have went undercover on my own accord and used several different names to go under with my friends help and they all want you, to send money to their loan specialist in africa, hes there at a conference, well that conference has been going on over there for at least a year hon. they have someone pick up your money and they run. no loan and lost money. if you noticed at the end of the contract you were suppose to sign, it says do not tell anyone , especially western union. thats because they will get busted . it is against the law for any legit loan company to ask for money up front. it will always be a scam. no reputable loan agency will solicit clients on yahoo answers. think about that. do not use prosper .com either. thats where i got scammed. your best bet is to get a loan from family or friends , if you cannot do that then you probably do not need to be borrowing money. im sorry, but i learned a lesson the hard way, i try to get on here when i can and keep everyone from responding to any of the so called loan agencies on here. good luck.

Rosemary Bushes?

I have several rosemary bushes (hedges) in the front/side yards of my new home, and I can't stand them! They grow out of control, look unkempt, are difficult to trim, etc. Would they be difficult to remove? Are they deep-rooted plants?

( I live in San Jose (northern), California)

Rosemary Bushes?
Oy vey..... lap it up? LAME!!!!

Anyways.....

They are not too deep rooted, and I can understand your frustration, my wife hated the rosemary bush we had in our front yard, but I kept it trimmed, and we used it mainly for cooking. However.... I totally understand your predicament. Its one thing to grow it for cooking, its something else when it has become overgrown.

Depending on how big it is, I would start by either using pruning shears or if you can get to the base, a hand saw. Keep in mind you have alot of trimming to do, so keep your garbage cans fairly empty until you start hacking away. Once you get to the base, and the outer growth is gone, the root system itself will mainly be within the first few feet, and it wont be too thick. Maybe you'll have shoots being 1" thick at most. But over all, you should be able to dig it out, and it shouldnt come back after you have dug it out. But like I said, it is alot of work to get rid of, but if its that invasive, its totally worth it.
Reply:Hi! I couldn't stand mine either and just yanked them all out.. It really was a pain. If you do it now, preferably after a frosty morning it will be a little easier because the woody stems will just break as you pull. Problem with these is they spread! Wherever a branch lays on the soil you'll probably get new roots. We were successful getting rid of ours, go for it! The yard looks so much better!!
Reply:Good story man.

I just LOVE Rosemary's trimmed bush.

My neighbour has a well established Rosemary bush.(U.K.) When should I take some for cooking purposes?

Should I wait until it has flowered,or can I take it anytime. It smells wonderful

My neighbour has a well established Rosemary bush.(U.K.) When should I take some for cooking purposes?
I'm assuming you've asked your neighbour and aren't just planning to help yourself! But of course a nice person like you will be on good terms with your neighbours... :D

Once rosemary is well established it is fast-growing, so your neighbour will probably be only too glad to give you free reign with the pruning secateurs.

You don't have to wait till it's finished flowering -- the herbs that you should prevent from going to flower are annuals and biennials such as basil, parsley and coriander. Rosemary, being a perennial, just flowers and gets on with life!

You could try taking a cutting from one of the prunings -- then you'd have your own source of rosemary sprigs.
Reply:Anytime at all. I have a mature tree [bush] I just take what I need, and it prunes the tree [bush] as well
Reply:when ever you like it comes back quite fast unless you are cooking for hundreds of people !!!!!!!
Reply:I use mine all the time for porkchops or chicken dish. It always smells so nice to me, no matter when.
Reply:If your neighbour gives you permission about 5 minutes before you need it. it always tastes better if it is fresh. Take the top 2 inches of young growth from each stem. Try chopping it very fine with garlic and olive oil on fresh boiled new potatoes.
Reply:You should only take after you ask your neighbor for permission
Reply:i would suggest you take before the flower since many loose their flavor after they flower such as basil, thyme etc. But as for other purposes i would suggest anytome. The plant is at its peak before blooms since all the energy is into leaves than flower production. See, when a plant flowers, it puts a lot of energy into flowering, which reduces the quality of the leaves. hope this helps..

Meg wants to come in also, but you know what a nut Meg can be. We will have a wild thyme if that witch hazel stays away from herb. Ginger will be smoking some of her chickweed with Jasmine just to nettle that old horehound, Colonel Mustard. Our bovine friend will be wearing her cowslip escorted by that odd duck Mr. Mandrake. Growing Rosemary?

I have no problem growing a wide range of herbs-just one.

Whatever I do with Rosemary it just doesn't flourish.I've tried different soil mixes-keeping it dry or well watered-giving it sun-all the options I can think of.It doesn't die on me but sits there in a complete state of apathy and non growth.Everyone says Rosemary is easy and to make matters worse just outside of our house there's a whole bed of it spreading itself without care or attention from anyone.Any ideas??

Growing Rosemary?
I had the same pb, attributed it to quality of plants, I always check out other gardens in my area and noticed two huge rosemary bushes in one, asked the owner permission to take cuttings, put them in water, after roots developed I planted in pot (2 month ago) they seem to be thriving, the test will be how they survive in the summer.also check site below
Reply:cuttings are the best way to propagate rosemary. and yes rosemary takes awhile to establish itself. and rosemary is best left alone. don't mess with it too much other than misting the newly planted cutting. once you have some roots. snip off the top to incourage branching. good luck. gotta love fresh rosemary..
Reply:Rosemary prefers well drained soil on the dry side and plenty of warm sunshine. Buy healthy plants and take care to gently spread the roots when transplanting. If grown inside, check the soil for insects. They can be treated with horticultural soap. Give rosemary a monthly feeding with a well balanced fertilizer and pinch back the growing tips for bushy growth. Hope this helps. Happy gardening!
Reply:Rosemary likes hot sun and very little water it seems. I have a large bush which gets very little water, a lot of sun and so far no fertiliser. You may be giving it too much care.
Reply:I think you're an immature gardener

Any one ever used burts bees rosemary mint shampoo bar?
I've never used it but I'm a fan of Burt's Bees products. According to what I've found online. It doesn't do much for volume but It's supposed to make you hair really shiny. And this rosemary mint shampoo bar is recommended for short to medium length hair. I hope that I've helped just a little. Good Luck and sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Does rosemary oil make your hair grow?
As a chemist, I'd say no, it will not make your hair grow significantly. As a person who loves to experiement with my hair, I started using this stuff made for a salon in Pittsburgh, PA. I used it to repair my hair and noticed that all of this new hair started sprouting at my hair line! It's kinda pricey but it does make your hair super nice. I have a new roof on my extension and the pitch is 14 degrees what tiles can i use !pref rosemary?

The problem is the wind getting under them and making them chatter (or even shatter). More usual to do slates - and even then clipped at this angle, with a greater overlap than may be economic. Best contact Redland for options (they make Rosemary tiles nowadays, I think) or consider a different system, eg metal or felt.

I have a new roof on my extension and the pitch is 14 degrees what tiles can i use !pref rosemary?
Concrete tiles won't go that shallow. You'll need slates.
Reply:sack your architect, why wasn't this thought of before you built the extension, you can't use tiles at that lower pitch and i'm pretty sure you can't use slates either, check with your local builders/roofing merchant they will check with manufacturers to find out what they can get something for a roof with that lower pitch, good luck.
Reply:You'll need slates.
Reply:I live in Los Angeles, and the Building Code does not allow shingles at a pitch less than 15 degrees.

I suggest you check your local Code first.

--Jim
Reply:You are not meant to use tiles or slates below 15 degrees.

Immediately above 15 degrees you will need concrete interlocking tiles - check with Redlands. If by Rosemary you are referring to their plain tiles - they require a considerably greater pitch.

Normally, below 15 degrees requires a sheet material.

Yes or no. Should I be friend with this girl name Rosemary?
Not if you don't like her she drives you crazy, unless you're desperate for friends I don't see why you would want to befriend someone like this.
Reply:Yes, be her friend, with a name like Rosemary, you cannot and will not go wrong !
Reply:Being a tatoteller and cries out loud is not the hindrance of choosing a friend. I guess she like you a lot but she didnt know your complaints. Try to talk to her nicely and im sure she will understand. Dont just get mad easily because it can bring you bad days and can add wrinkles on your face. You dont want to look ugly right? We can make friends with anyone whom we think we are comfortable with. If you can take her for what she is and still comfortable talking with her then thats a remark of good friendship but if you just get mad always and cant take her attitudes anymore maybe its better for you both to part ways so that you can have other friends to share with and also she can find other friends who could understand her most. Only you can decide whether it is yes or no. Better think a million times so that you will never regret later on.
Reply:yes if you feel that she is a friend and if you can trust her

I'm growing rosemary in a pot. do I take leaves (for cooking) from the top? also, how should I trim it?

To get leaves for cooking, pinch off the top portion of a stalk, right above a place where a stem branches off. Use the leaves from the part you removed. Pinching off the top keeps the plant from getting spindly and encourages short, bushy growth.

I'm growing rosemary in a pot. do I take leaves (for cooking) from the top? also, how should I trim it?
any leaves are good. the new leaves do have more flavor. the older ones i put in little bags i made and hang in closets for moths and spiders. a rosemary likes water and she will grow forever . mine almost looks like a tree. i prune any branches growing towards the middle so all branches point outwards. other than that i only prune to shape it the way i want . I'm thinking of using them as a hedge on the side of the house.

they have natural camphor in them and keep bugs away. i also use them to make cold remedies. they are a great breath freshener.

Growing rosemary?

Would like to know the best way to grow rosemary in container pots (have killed them in the past). Also, would love to have this indoors for the wonderful aroma, but don't have much sunlight unless I move the pot(s) daily.

Growing rosemary?
They need a lot of sunlight. I use pots that have good drainage and water them 2 times per week. Once a month give them miracle grow and they will do exceptional. Mine produce way more than several families can use.
Reply:Successfully growing rosemary indoors requires good sunlight -- the more the better -- and ideally a southern exposure. If the plant is large, rotate it weekly so all sides of the plant receive sunlight. Wiry growth often indicates inadequate light, and if you can't increase natural light, consider using artificial light. You can also prune plants to encourage bushiness. Indoor plants sometimes develop powdery mildew because of lack of air circulation. If this occurs, run a small (3-inch) fan for three to four hours a day. I've noticed that the creeping varieties grow and tolerate dry interior air better than the upright varieties.

Will pineapple sage, rosemary & oregano propagate themselves from clippings or branches?

Pinapple sage (Salvia elegans) [see picture at: http://www.floridata.com/ref/s/salv_ele....

Auxin: Panogen soak + IBA 4000 ppm

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) [pictures at http://www.uni-graz.at/~katzer/engl/Rosm...

Many herbs also can be propagated easily by layering. For rosemary select branches near the base of the parent plant. Pull off side branches and leaves and press the stem into the soil. Weight it in place with a stone or pin it with a wire. Keep soil moist until the layered stem roots. Sever the newly rooted plant from the parent and move it to its new location.

While not listed at the UCDavis site, rosemary as well as sage can also be started from cuttings. Take 3-inch stem cuttings from healthy, nonwoody shoots. Cut below a node. Remove foliage from the bottom half of the stem and treat with rooting compound (from local nursery supply, or box store like Wal-Mart or Home Depot). Put on a mist bench or cover with a clear plastic bag (don't seal it up!) to keep it humid.

Oregano (Origanum vulgare L.) [pictures at http://www.uni-graz.at/~katzer/engl/Orig...

Simiarly, it is possible to root stem cuttings of oregano in the Spring (http://pss.uvm.edu/ppp/proptabNO.htm). "...propagation methods like cuttings, division and layering which clone the source plant’s chemistry and flavor are more effective for the other more variable Origanum species and cultivars. Origanums are notorious for mislabeling by commercial nurseries and retail outlets, so if purchasing a starter plant, it’s a good idea to smell it before you buy it." http://www.herbsociety.org/factsheets/or...

Hope this helps....

12x24 room rosemary green?

i have a 12x24 storage room in my backyard im trying to decorate it's color is rosemary green which looks like seafoam green however i am unable to change the color at this time i need sugestions in decorating the space my husband may be putting his pool table in there also i'll like to know how to separate the spaces also it's not very big but i know it can be beautiful and any ideas on themes just want it cozy beautiful and relaxing so all my yahoo pals help me out and let's do this together

12x24 room rosemary green?
well ,if its already painted green and its located in the back yard, then id say the best idea would be to give it a conservatory/sunroom feel. you could make it look a little tropical, but dont go overboard. lots of plants (how many windows in the room) if not much natural sunlight you could grow bamboo. if lots of light, you can grow just about anything. use bamboo, rattan or wicker furniture. if you have a nice big window, how bout building a window seat? you could make the seat lift up for storage. (is this room still gonna be used partly for storage?) its a nice place to sit and read and have a coffee and watch the birds--hang a birdfeeder outside the window. is it carpeted? if not you could put down mats made of flat strips of bamboo--theyre very nice looking and stand up to wear and tear well. the colors that would go best with this shade of green are tan, sandy beige, off-white, ivory, and use dark red and black as a splash of bold color here and there (cushions, art-work, vases, etc.) put a bookshelf in the room and it could become your own private library--a retreat to come and read whenever you get time. try to avoid floral patterns that would be overkill in a room thats full of plants. and especially if your husband is going to be using the room too. try for a more gender-neutral pattern on the fabrics like stripes or geometrics. for window coverings, id use either shutters or bamboo blinds (the roman style blinds are easy to use and look classy). go for a simple rather than a frilly look--then the room can be used by everyone and can be multi-functional, plus you wont get tired of too quickly. you could also put a bar in it with a mini fridge--very convinient. and a few bar stools. be sure and have a couple large ottomans--they can be used as coffee tables, extra seating, and storage chests--very practical. if you can afford it, buy a couple of really large tall plants like a palm or yucca, but put them in the corners so you dont rob too much floor space. smaller plants can be put on shelves and tables and can cascade over the edges of high shelves and ledges. all you need is a coffe pot and a tea kettle and a sound system, and you're set. hope this gave you a few good ideas. please do your husband and sons a favor and dont turn it into a "girly room"
Reply:I'd use standing screen to "divide" the room. You'll need plenty of space for the pool table. For that side of the space I'd put in bench seating against the wall, put up the cue rack, maybe a dart board, etc, just "poolroom" type of decor. Depending on what you want to use the other side of the room for would determine your decor there.

Am looking for the info on St rosemary's hospital fire in the 1920's used in the movie Room 6?

That was used in the movie Room 6 with Christine Taylor and Jerry Connely.

Am looking for the info on St rosemary's hospital fire in the 1920's used in the movie Room 6?
Are you sure there even was a St. Rosemary's Hospital? Remember, Room 6 was a movie, and movies aren't always factually based--and even when they are, the facts often get garbled--and the name is Jerry O'Connell, not Connelly.

On the ESPN show "Jim Rome is Burning", in which recent episode did Jim mention the film "Rosemary's Baby"?

He gave a metaphor about sports using the film.

Who cares. Jim Rome is a repetitive tool.

Do you think Rosemary should have killed her baby at the end of the film?

In other words, if you discovered that you had been raped by Satan and had become pregnant, would you kill your child?

Do you think Rosemary should have killed her baby at the end of the film?
No way. That would be a cash cow! Imagine the money you could pull in from that!
Reply:None of my blooming business.
Reply:That makes the assumption that you could kill your child if he turned out to be the anti christ.

That is not likely.

Of course, if you read your Revelations then you know she has every reason to kill him as according to that writing he will kill he one day. So why not? If she can do it.

I would also stake a vampire if he were related to me.

Can any one out there tell me where i can find rosemary oil? I heardit is good for hair growth. Thanks?

They sell it at whole foods, about $4.59 for a 1oz bottle. Massage the oil into your scalp using the balls of your fingers to stimulate the scalp and increase blood circulation. Do this a couple of times a week to really see a difference.

Your local organic/natural foodstore may carry it. If not, I'm sure you can find it online by doing a google search.

My Rosemary potted plant is looking flimsy. Advice?

My rosemary plant is not looking as strong as it was a few weeks ago.

It sits on the windowsill and gets adequate water. Any advice? Does it need to be moved outside? Pruned? Left alone??

Thanks

My Rosemary potted plant is looking flimsy. Advice?
I think you might be over watering your plant. Rosemary likes it on the dry side.

I live in eastern SD and currently have a potted rosemary plant thriving in bright sun (8+ hrs/day) and watered once every 2-3 days (its in a pot that dries out quickly) the temp averages 70F.

Allow the soil to dry out quite a bit before watering it...hope that helps.

Lastly, if it is weak, don't use cuttings for cooking. You don't want to stress it out more than you need to.

Good luck!

Trevor
Reply:Move it outside in the full sun. It don't require alot of water.
Reply:probably over-watered, and not getting enought sun. i live in San Diego where it thrives anywhere you put it, especially in direct sun. you also need to prune it as well.

I am doing a research on rosemary, can you fill this up?

Did you use rosemary, one of the aromatherapy essential oil to cure your illness?

Please be honest with it.

Thanks.

This what Homeopathy uses ROSEMARY for :-

Rosmarinus.

Rosmarinus officinalis. Rosemary. N. O. Labiatæ. Tincture of whole plant.

Clinical.─Abortion. Baldness. Menses, too early.

Characteristics.─The most violent of the symptoms of Rosm. were observed on a woman who took a strong infusion for eight days, with the result that miscarriage occurred. In another woman it brought on the menses four days too soon. Chilliness predominated, the chill not being followed by heat. Oil of Rosemary has an ancient reputation as a remedy for baldness, headache, and flagging mental powers. Hence it has been called "Herb of Memory." This Shakespere alludes to when he makes Ophelia say, "There's Rosemary, that's for remembrance."

Relations.─Compare: Hedeo., Menth. pul.

SYMPTOMS.

1. Mind.─Anxiety.─(Memory deficient.)

2. Head.─Vertigo.─Headache.─Heaviness and dulness of head.─Weight and tension round head.─(Baldness.)

16. Female Sexual Organs.─Violent pains followed by uterine hæmorrhage and miscarriage, succeeded by faintness, spasms of chest, cold hands and feet, small, rapid, irregular pulse.─Menses four days too early.

17. Respiratory Organs.─Oppression of breathing.─Spasms in chest.

26. Sleep.─Overpowering sleepiness with yawning.─Sleeplessness.

27. Fever.─Coldness so that she could not leave the bed.─Chill over whole body, legs icy cold, no thirst and no subsequent heat.

The above proving of the remedy has been taken from " A DICTIONARY OF PRACTICAL MATERIA MEDICA By John Henry CLARKE, M.D "

I hope this answers your question to your satisfaction. Take Care and God Bless

Growing Rosemary Plant?
Make sure to put it in a sunny window and that it gets lots and lots of sunlight and water it when the soil turns dry and mist it since they love the humidity. Luck warm water would be the best since it is not to hot not too cold it is just the right temperature. Fertilize it once a month with a fertilizer you can buy those fertilizers at your local grocery store. In spring and summer you can bring it outside so it gets lots and lots of sun and it will grow alot faster. You can propagate your rosemary plant by cutting off a stem and putting it in water and it will have roots within 2-3 weeks. If you see bugs eating your plants then you can spray the plant with an insecticide and it will kill the bugs but not the plants. You can buy an insecticide at your local grocery center. Good Luck!
Reply:Rosemary loves neglect, dont over water, if you have it growing outdoors, plant in a concrete block, they do well in blocks, with a good soil mix. And yes to make new plants just break off a branch and stick it in the ground and forget about it.
Reply:I don't think you will have any trouble at all growing rosemary if you raise the garden bed a bit or grow it in a good quality potting mix in a pot. Put it in a sunny spot %26amp; use it in your cooking it's great with all sorts of meat dishes. If you are worried about the clay just get a big bag of good quality potting mix, spread it over the ground dig it in a bit %26amp; plant straight into it.
Reply:I've got mine growing in pots and boxes. I use regular potting mix with a little sand mixed in and the do great. The hot and humid part is fine, but in their natural climate around the Mediterranean the dirt they grow in tends to be a little on the sand and gravel side. As long as it's not solid clay, and they get plenty of sun and not a lot of water, they should do well.

Not every herb is as potent a psychedelic as cannabis.

Have you ever had a rosemary topiary tree or just a rosemary?

tree? Did it make your home smell sweet? Did it live?

I think I could use a little Christmas spirit around here, it just feels like any other ordinary day.

Have you ever had a rosemary topiary tree or just a rosemary?
Rosemary grows all over the state of Texas and is tough as a old bosens mate the topiary would be good in your small space and it does smell good especially if you crush a bit of it

and can make a baked chicken taste good

I say go for it I bet they have one at walmart in port lavaca if not you could get one in Victoria
Reply:I had a wonderful rosemary bush in the yard for many years. The cows ate it. Since then I've started a few others but they never grew like numero uno.
Reply:I love it, am growing one in my yard and stroke it every time I pass it. The fragrance stays quite a while.
Reply:I've had a rosemary plant in my window and one outside, they are really low maintenance and impart a wonderful fragrance to the room (if you break a bit off and rub it) and have added a lot of flavor to my cooking.
Reply:I had a rosemary topiary trimmed in the shape of a Christmas tree; I kept it going for about 3 years. It did give off a nice fragrance and the shape was easy to maintain. I think it could have last longer than 3 years; however, I neglected it after Hurricane Charley came through here because downed trees blocked my access to it for over a month, and it died.

I bet you'd enjoy it if you got one to add some Christmas cheer. Once the holidays are over, you can keep it going. If it is a trimmed like a tree, and is in a pot, then repot it into a very well drained pot and use good potting soil that includes peat and sand. Rosemary needs lots of sun, so either move it outdoors or keep it in a south or east facing window. It's not cold hardy, I live in Florida and can keep it outside most of the year, but it needs to be inside during winter for colder climates. Do not over water, wash the leaves with insecticidal soap, trim it to keep the shape....and you should be good to go next year too!
Reply:I bought a rosemary "Christmas" tree this year....about 1 1/2 feet high in a nice pot. No decorations, of course, but a fully shaped, thick branch. Oh, how lovely it smells.

Rosemary is my favorite herb and I always have a small pot of it on the window sill anyway for cooking with. This will last a long time.....fer sure.
Reply:No, I was going to get a poinsettia but I heard their poison and I have a kitty!!!
Reply:I had a rosemary Christmas tree one year, then planted it outside in the spring. Lovely smell!
Reply:I have never seen a rosemary topiary, and I don't think I would attempt to make one. It would be a lot of work to train it because the branches are not pliable and sprout everywhere. The trunk does become thick. I bet if you found one at the nursery it would be expensive.

Do rosemary shrubs need to be trimmed in order to grow faster?

No but it will make them bushier and you can hedge them if you like.

How does The Giver feel about Rosemary's release? [The Giver by Lois Lowry]?

He was heartbroken over losing the girl who had become like a daughter to him. He also felt very guilty, because he believed that it was his fault she requested to be released-- he thought he had given her too many good memories, and then overwhelmed her with too many disturbing ones. He was determined not to make the same mistake with Jonas.

What kind of information do you have on rosemary?

Hey, me and Rosemary had a thing back in the day, but I'm not kissing and telling.

What kind of information do you have on rosemary?
its a herb which is good to control Hihg blood pressure softens meat for cooking but i am sorry which rosemary coz i knowmany girrrls named rosemary i also have a bush
Reply:It's a herb that has many uses, it will not survive outside in any zone under zone 6, there are hundreds of varieties. It's used in dishes that are of a heavy nature, stews, good on pork. You can dry it %26amp; grind it %26amp; sprinkle it over any meats, it is a strong tasting herb so you don't want to use to much, my favorite thing is mashed pototoes whipped with fresh rosemary leaves.Go to www.mulberrycreek.com it's an organtic herb farm, their catalouge is full of useful info on all kinds of Rosemary, it's a beautiful web site,I get all my herbs from there.
Reply:Here in British Columbia's southwest rosemary is easy to grow. We are in zone 8. I have been able to stick branches into the soil and grow new ones without any problems. They like sunny locations and well drained soil. Blooms in January till the end of spring.Depending on variety the blossoms are either pink or blue. Trimming the tips will lead to busy plants, do not cut into the old wood. Dry cuttings for use in winter.

Rosemary is an antidepressant and nerve and circulation stimulant. It has a toning and calming effection in the digestion. Drink as a tea.
