Why rosemary is always the preferred herb for lamb?

It depends where you are getting your recipes from. Rosemary works very well with lamb, however mint is also used.

Many put a mint sauce over lamb dishes.

Why rosemary is always the preferred herb for lamb?
actually a combination of mint and rosemary is what is traditionally used. lamb is a flavorful fatty meat...these herbs lend the perfect balance..as they are profound in their own sense. a well balanced combination.
Reply:Rosemary really compliments the natural flavor of lamb meat. that's why it is the preffered herb. Mint is mostly for mutton, and that's to help cover the strong taste. Mutton is the meat of a sheep that is at least 2 years of age.
Reply:It isn't.!

I would say more sheep eating peoples would prefer it curried or with mint sauce.
